He is a policymaker. He was born in Titlagarh, Orissa, India. They were deeply influenced by Gandhi and his philosophy and consequently, He and his brother were sent to Gujarat to imbibe Gandhian philosophy.


He has Masters in Physics and Electronics from Maharaja Sayajirao University in Vadodara & Masters in Electrical Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technologyin Chicago. He was big pioneer in cutting-edge technology as he also invented hand-held electronic diary in 1975. He Founded Wescom Switching which was eventually acquired by Rockwell International, where He became the Vice President.
